His interest in mathematics, physics , photography and computing steered him to a career in Ophthalmology. He is fellowship trained at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, Florida as well Moorfields Hospital, London, England.
He has a passion for education, innovation, and research in ophthalmology. He has published and presented on wide aspects of ophthalmology. He has been acknowledged as an innovator on the national and international stage. Masoud has presented at ASCRS, ESCRS, ARVO, AAO, IHE Connectathon and RCO.
Masoud Created one of the first surgical audit tools for surgery outcome analysis at St Georg’s Hospital, London, England in 1989. He later created Datamze as a web enabled EHR and practice manager in current usage.
His in depth understanding of complex relationships has been instrumental in development of a the most modern EHR for Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology is the “Everest” of EHR creation, as ophthalmology is the most complex of medical specialities for EHR creation with heavy reliance on complex measuring devices and static and dynamic imaging.
Negaha.net was founded in 1999 by Masoud for promotion of QIP* worldwide.
Negaha.net identified Chaos as its main obstacle to delivering QIP.
“Fractals visualise Chaos”
“Chaos, triggers Innovation”
“Innovation Solves Chaos”
“Solving Chaos, creates limitless opportunities to deliver QIP”
Masoud founded iREIF.org (under Construction as we speak) in September of 2009 as the delivery vehicle 4 QIP.
iREIF stands for iResearch, Education, Innovation Foundation.
iREIF is a non-profit organisation that will deliver QIP by utilising EHR* in a “Cloud”.
VersaSuite EHR will deliver this aspiration, its robust SOA* design allows for a multi-tier modern enterprise wide database. Masoud is the Medical Director of VersaSuite.
He believes that the EHR will act as the “Black Box” of iREIF by offering prospective quality data collection of the entire patient iCare pathway. QCA* will be a by product of this integrated seamless, paperless EHR environment. QCA will soon become the cornerstone of revalidation and appraisal by medical academies worldwide.
IHE/DICOM/HL7 standards will offer the connectivity between medical equipment and EHR.
The “cloud” aims to offer a low carbon footprint in a iREIF health care enterprise.
